Community Resources

Most non-profit volunteer opportunities are managed by institutions such as churches, schools, libraries, and various government organizations. One of the best ways to get started is to look at organizations that appeal to your personal interests. Below you can find a few suggestions to begin your search.

LOCAL CHURCHES OR RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS:

See our Partner Parish listing for contact information of a Catholic Church in your area.

DIOCESE OF ORLANDO OFFICE OF ADVOCACY AND JUSTICE:

The Office of Advocacy and Justice posts different events held throughout the Diocese during the year. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the Office of Advocacy and Justice promotes the social mission of the Church through education and legislative advocacy efforts.

UNITED WAY OF VOLUSIA/FLAGLER COUNTIES: https://www.unitedwayvfc.org/

United Way envisions a world where all individuals and families achieve their human potential through education, financial stability, and healthy lives.

As Catholics, we believe that every person has been created in the image and likeness of God and therefore all human life is sacred. We highly encourage our students to become involved in all stages of the Respect Life movement, from conception to natural death. There are numerous Respect Life organizations in the Volusia County area, including women’s clinics and prayer groups. Contacting your local church can get you in contact with these organizations.
