The Father Lopez Parent Club is a volunteer organization of parents who are dedicated to promoting a sense of community, spirituality and appreciation among the administration, faculty, staff, students and families at Father Lopez.
A Message from the Parent Club President
What a blessing to have Father Lopez Catholic High School in our community! Catholic theology teaches that “as the first responsible for the education of their children, parents have the right to choose a school for them which corresponds to their own convictions” (Catholic Catechism 2229). At Father Lopez Catholic High School, we have the opportunity to educate the whole person in academics, athletics and apostleship.
At the Parent Club, our focus is on apostleship. We have three established ministries:
Lopez Closet—the sorting, cleaning and sewing of gently worn uniforms for sale to new or existing families;
Lopez Cares—through prayer, cards, food for those in need and those celebrating; and,
Lopez Connects—numerous opportunities throughout the year for fellowship within the entire Lopez family consisting of students, faculty, staff and parents.
We usually gather on the last Monday of the month at 4:00 p.m. in the media center for coffee and fellowship followed by informative and exciting guest speakers. We are working together with faculty and administration to bring guest speakers and events for the students specifically during Homecoming Week and Catholic Schools Week. Since the parents are automatically members of both the Parent Club and Booster Club, the gatherings are on different days and times, offering the opportunities for fellowship and activities with more frequency as well as flexibility.
Thank you for participating in helping to “build His Kingdom” by supporting Catholic education for our children. We look forward to a fruitful and joyful school year at Father Lopez Catholic High School.
