Retreat Info
A retreat is an opportunity for withdrawal from ordinary activities for a period of time to commune with God. This can happen in many ways. At Father Lopez, our faculty and students will experience a 'Day of Reflection' during which they will have an opportunity to grow in their relationship with God and one another. These active, engaging experiences are a graduation requirement.
The grade level days will build upon the activities from the prior year.
As freshmen, students will spend time examining the differences between our secular culture and the culture of faith. As sophomores, they will learn the skills of discernment and how all decisions should be discerned in relationship to God. During junior year, they will have an opportunity to explore the idea of 'power' and the meaning of power in relationship to the Gospel message. Senior year will draw it all together when they spend time reflecting on 'living in the real world' as a true disciples of Jesus Christ.
It is our hope and prayer that the students will graduate with a real sense of who Christ is in their lives and how they are to live the call of Christian Discipleship in the world.
