 Father Lopez High School Board The Father Lopez School Board is comprised of fifteen voting members and eight ex officio, non voting members. Voting representatives include parents, alumni, community leaders, and a variety of professionals. Non voting members include the Superintendent of Schools, School President, School Principal, Faculty representative, Booster Club president, Parent Club president, Student Government representative, and a parish priest.The School Board's mission is to pursue excellence within the Catholic tradition. It serves as a link between its constituents and the Diocese of Orlando. Acting in an advisory capacity to the school administration, the Board makes recommendations in the areas of academics, strategic long range planning, finance, policy formation, recruitment and retention, communication, and other matters important to the school. The Board consists of six working committees: Finance, Academics, Strategic Planning, Nominating, Facility and Development (Institutional Advancement.) Alumni relations, fundraising, and public relations are under the umbrella of Institutional Advancement.Committees are chaired by board members and are comprised of community members, additional board members and a faculty liaison. In April of 2007, Father Lopez School Board was awarded the National Outstanding Board Award for Secondary Education presented by the National Catholic Education Association.
