Last Saturday the JV Volleyball team competed in the JV Pine Ridge Tournament. The Green Wave did very well finishing in 2nd place after falling in the finals to Spruce Creek. The girls played 6 games in from 10 am - 4 pm and defeated Taylor, Atlantic, Seabreeze, Mainland, and Pine Ridge. Congratulations on a great tournament!

The girls varsity finished 10th and the jv girls finished 7th. The boys varsity finished 15th. The Girls were led by Lauren Gillespy, Lauren Fox, and Valerie Villafane, and the Boys were led by Adam Farmer, Joey Musante, Andy Ufheil. The JV Girls were led by Christina Olivari, Stephanie Villafane, and Isabella Napolitano. Both teams will be back in action Wednesday as they travel to Trinity Prep with the meet starting at 4:00 pm.

The Lopez Varsity Volleyball team went on the road yesterday to face Trinity Christian and cruised to victory 3-0. The scores by set were 25-12, 25-19, and 25-13. The Green Wave was led by Leila Pickett, 14 kills and 2 aces, Marlena Tolland, 11 kills, 12 digs, and 3 aces, and Erika Pifer, 34 assists, 8 digs, and 7 aces. Lopez moves to 3-1 on the season and will be back in action next week on Monday as they complete their 3-game road swing at New Smyrna Beach with game times at 5:30 and 6:30. GO GREEN WAVES!!!
