Booster Club

 

The Booster Club of Father Lopez Catholic High School  plays a vital role in the support of our athletic program.The athletic programs count on the Booster Club to help supply much needed equipment, supplies, and other resources not covered by their budgets. Be it by parking cars during the races or in our Annual Tony Renna Memorial Golf Tournament, the booster club is committed to helping make our athletic teams shine on the courts and fields. Booster Club meetings are held on the Second Monday of the month, at 6 pm in the O'Neil Family Media Center. (*Note:There is not a meeting scheduled for December)

The Tony Renna Memorial Golf Tournament

The Father Lopez Catholic High School Class of 1995 knows Tony Renna as their classmate and friend. Worldwide, many know Tony as the driver who finished in 7th place at the Indianapolis 500 in May, 2003 and later that year signed with one of the most prestigious Indy Racing League teams, Target Ganassi. Many thousands know Tony as the person who touched their lives with his caring, kindness, humor, and love.

  

For Tony, the dream he had since he began driving racecars at age 6, was coming true. On October 22, 2003, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Tony was ecstatic to be driving for his new team for the first time. He was on the fifth lap of this test drive when God brought Tony to heaven.

  

The Father Lopez community wanted to remember Tony in a special way. In 2004, the school's annual golf tournament was renamed The Tony Renna Memorial Golf Tournament in his honor. Proceeds now support FatherLopezCatholicHigh School, the Tony Renna Scholarship Fund at Father Lopez and the Tony Renna Memorial Foundation.

  

We are deeply touched and very grateful to the Father Lopez community for their desire to celebrate Tony's life. Please join us in what promises to be an amazingly fun event! We look forward to seeing you there and are honored by your consideration and participation.
