Entrance Exams

Eighth graders interested in attending Father Lopez are required to take our entrance exam.
Check back in the upcoming weeks for the 2009-2010  entrance exam schedule.

Exams begin at 8 am and will last until 11 am. The cost of the exam is $50.Checks should be made payable to Father Lopez.

After June 8, Entrance Exams may be scheduled individually on a date that is convenient for you. Please contact Susan Greenwood at 386-253-5213 to make arrangements.

Information regarding the Entrance Exams: 

·         Sign-in is from 7:30-7:45 in the Main Office.

·         Test administration begins at precisely 8:00am.

·         The test is called the High School Placement Test.There are commercial study guides available.

·         A passing score on the exam is required for admission to Father Lopez Catholic High School.

·         Please ensure that your child is modestly dressed, and that s/he brings several sharpened No. 2 pencils to the exam site.

·         Calculators are prohibited.

Information regarding the Placement Tests

Eighth graders who wish to enter Geometry (rather than Algebra 1), Spanish 2 (rather than Spanish 1), Chemistry (rather than Biology), or English 1 Honors (rather than English) must take a placement test in addition to the Entrance Exam.

Students in our local feeder schools will take the placement tests at their schools in January. All others must make arrangements to take placement tests at Father Lopez.

Placement tests are offered free of charge. Simply call Susan Greenwood at 386-253-5213 to make arrangements to schedule a placement test on a convenient date. Please let her know in advance which tests you wish your child to take.
