Course Descriptions
Choosing your classes is an important activity that one should not take lightly. Take into consideration what your teachers recommend, how you have done in the past, and what you wish to do in the future. Parents and students are encouraged to make careful decisions when selecting courses, as schedule changes are done on a very limited basis once school begins. Schedules may be changed at any time if a student is in danger of failing, and there is a lower level course available. Schedules may be changed during the first two weeks of school for the following reasons: course level too high or too low, or dislike of elective choice. Schedules changes are only possible if there is space available in the newly requested course. Schedules will not be changed for the following reasons: desire for a different teacher, desire for a different class section, or desire for a different lunch period. Instructor permission may be required for a course change at the discretion of the Assistant Principal for Instruction.
